Precision work at the donor area
How It Works

A robot does the precision work. A surgeon runs the room.

01

Mapped by a surgeon

A board-certified plastic surgeon designs your hairline and maps the donor area — the part that decides whether it looks natural in two years.

02

Harvested by the robot

The ARTAS system selects and extracts individual follicles with sub-millimeter precision. No scalpel line, no plugs, 98% of grafts survive.

03

Placed by trained hands

Certified hair technicians place each graft at the angle and density your surgeon mapped. You're done in 4–8 hours. One day. That's it.

The Part Most Clinics Skip

We'll be straight with you: this takes a year.

Anyone promising a new head of hair by summer is lying to you. Here's the real timeline — because you deserve to know before you spend a dollar, not after.

Day 1

The procedure

4–8 hours in the chair. Numbed scalp, podcasts, lunch break. You drive home the same day.

Weeks 2–8

The shed

Transplanted hairs fall out. This is normal and everyone panics anyway. The follicles stay.

Months 4–9

The comeback

New growth starts thin and wispy, then thickens. This is when the mirror starts being fun again.

Months 9–18

The result

Full density comes in. We'll see you for follow-ups the whole way — they're included, and they're 20 minutes away.

Questions Men Actually Ask

The FAQ.

What does it actually cost?
It's published right on this page: Starter (up to 2,000 grafts) $5,795 · Standard (2,000–2,800) $7,295 · Full (2,800–3,500) $8,795 · Max (3,500–4,500+) $10,495. Every tier includes the robot, the surgical team, and all follow-up visits. Your consultation sets the graft count; the tier price doesn't move afterward.
Is a robot really better than a surgeon doing it by hand?
For harvesting, yes — and it's not close. The ARTAS system uses imaging to select and extract follicles with precision no human hand sustains over thousands of grafts. That's why graft survival runs about 98% versus under 90% for manual techniques. Your surgeon still designs the hairline and supervises the entire procedure.
Why is Turkey so cheap, then?
Volume and labor costs. Many Istanbul clinics run 50+ patients a day with technicians doing the work start to finish — sometimes people with no medical license at all. Some clinics are excellent. Some over-harvest donor areas, leave visible scarring, and are a 12-hour flight away when you have a question in month three. Industry data ties roughly 96% of botched Turkey transplants to black-market clinics — and if yours goes wrong, a repair back in the US runs $8,000–$12,000 that insurance won't cover. The cheap price is real. So is the risk you're buying with it.
Does it hurt?
The scalp is numbed for the procedure — most men describe the day as boring, not painful. Expect some tightness and tenderness for a few days after. Most guys are back at work within 2–4 days.
Will people be able to tell?
In the first two weeks, yes — there's redness and tiny scabs where grafts were placed. After that, it just looks like your hair, because it is your hair. No plugs, no scalpel scar across the back of your head.
Can I finance it?
Yes — financing is available through Cherry and other lending partners, with payments that break a session into monthly amounts. We'll walk you through options at your consultation.
Do I need to keep doing anything after?
The transplanted hair is yours for life, but the hair around it can keep thinning. Most patients stay on a maintenance plan (finasteride, minoxidil, or supplements like Nutrafol) to protect the rest. We'll build that into your plan honestly — no $200/month mystery subscriptions.
